About Us

Hey there! I’m Cindy.

Creative Founder of Smitty’s Angels llc

I moved here with my family when I was ten and started at Boscobel Area Schools. Later attending Southwest Technical College and finishing my Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology at the Upper Iowa University in Madison WI. I have been working as a social worker for the past seventeen years. Currently, I am employed with Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc. 

I enjoy art and gardening. I want to bring my experience through my work as a social worker and give back to my community by opening Smitty’s Angels Creative Community Service Center. I want to give back by bringing an enjoyable place to find comfort and a warm welcoming place for people to come together and express themselves creatively.

How it all began.

The Schmidt Family

The Schmidt family moved to Boscobel in 1975 after “Schmitty” retired from the Navy. He started his business for himself with the second hand store selling antiques, furniture, cars you name it! He served on the city council and as an alderman. He was the definition on an entrepreneur from food truck’s to Schmitty’s resale. Ron and Betty have seven children, thirteen grandchildren and so far eight great-grand children making up our family of Schmitty’s Angels.
